Renewals, fines and charges
Luton Libraries offer many services without charge, such as reservations and computer use. However, there are some charges for the late return of items or to borrow CDs or DVDs
If you have access to the Internet, you can renew online, by going to the library catalogue. You will need your library card and PIN. You will also need your library card and PIN if you wish to use the out of hours automated telephone service, 01582 818484. Please note that if someone else is waiting for one of the items you have on loan, you will not be able to renew it and you must return it to your local library as soon as possible. Also you will not be able to renew if the item has already been renewed 10 times.
You can reserve any item in stock in Luton Libraries for free. If the item you want is not in stock in, you can complete a comments form and hand it to a member of staff, or fill in a Not in Stock request online via the library catalogue. There is a charge to obtain a book from another authority or the British Library.
