Website App

Our website has also been desinged to function as a mobile app. To install it on your device home screen, follow the instructions below.

In all instances, navigate to the library website www.lutonlibraries.co.uk first.

 

iPhone (Safari)

• Open the URL in Safari:
• Navigate to the web app’s URL in the Safari browser.
• Add to Home Screen:
• Tap the Share button (square with an arrow pointing upward) at the bottom of the screen.
• Scroll down and select Add to Home Screen.
• Confirm Installation:
  Edit the name if desired and tap Add in the top-right corner

The Picon will now appear on your home screen.

 

Android

• Open in Chrome (also supported in other browsers)
• Navigate to the web app’s URL.
• Add to Home Screen:
• Look for a prompt at the bottom of the screen suggesting to "Add to Home Screen" If no prompt appears, tap the three-dot menu (top-right corner) and select Add to Home Screen.
  Confirm Installation:
• Customize the name if desired and tap Add.

The icon will appear in your app drawer and home screen.

 

Firefox

• Open the URL in Firefox.
• Tap the three-dot menu.
• Select Install or Add to Home Screen, depending on the browser version.

Microsoft Edge

• Open the URL in Microsoft Edge.
• Tap the three-dot menu.
• Select Apps → Add to Phone or Install App

Samsung Internet

• Navigate to the URL in the Samsung Internet browser.
• Tap the three-line menu.
• Select Add to Home Screen.
