Luton Central Library has a collection of books covering general and specialist family history research.
You can view local family history records on microfilm and microfiche. Records available include Parish Registers, Cemetery Records (Luton General Cemetery and Crawley Green Cemetery), and the International Genealogy Index. Current and back copies of family history journals, local trade directories, and the Great War Roll of Honour for Luton are available for reference use.
There is also free access to Find My Past, including the 1921 Census, on library computers and you can also research surnames in our online copy of the Oxford Dictionary of Family Names in Britain and Ireland
